Every rate here is a published range, not a quote. The channel fee applies to the amount moved rather than to the goods alone, which is why it lands larger than the headline percentage.

How it computes
- Each line item is computed independently: item value, service fee as a percentage of item value, domestic leg charge, add-on charges, payment channel fee from a published range, and storage charged per week.
- The payment channel fee uses a published range per channel rather than a single rate, so the total is returned as a range.
- A second configuration is computed alongside the first, replacing the service fee percentage and the payment channel with lower-cost alternatives, so the difference is visible rather than described.

Boundaries and failure behaviour
- An order value of zero or below returns a validation message.

- All rates are ranges with stated bases; nothing here is a quote.
