What happens to my saved list if an agent closes?
The list survives if you exported it, and the seller identifiers survive with it. What does not survive is anything the agent held on your behalf.
The evidence
The part you control is the list, and the useful form to export is the identifier set rather than the rendered page. An exported page of titles is of limited use because titles change; a set of seller identifiers and item identifiers can be re-resolved anywhere. That distinction is the whole reason our migration rule starts with exporting.
The part you do not control is everything the agent held: a balance, an unreleased parcel, an in-flight order. Where a closure is orderly, those are settled through a process with a stated deadline. Where it is not orderly, the recovery path is through whichever authority supervises the payment route you used, which is why the payment route matters more than the agent choice in this specific scenario.
What should be re-checked after migration is review dates rather than identifiers. Identifiers re-resolve; whether the entries behind them are still current is a separate question, and a migrated list carries the age of the list it came from. Re-checking the review dates is the step that turns a migration into a working list.
When this does not apply
Where the item identifiers cannot be recovered, a title and seller search usually reconstructs most of the list, at the cost of some entries that were titled ambiguously. It is a partial recovery rather than a loss, which is worth knowing before treating the situation as a write-off.
